Southport Sharks is looking for an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance, grounds, presentation, safety and compliance of our multi-use precinct, including the Club, Hotel, Health Club, Gaming, Food & Beverage areas and Grounds. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, well-presented and maintained in line with business needs. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can lead from the front, manage competing priorities and get things done. What You’ll Do- Lead the Maintenance and Grounds teams
- Manage reactive, planned and preventative maintenance
- Oversee contractors, suppliers, quotes and completion of works
- Ensure WHS, fire safety, building compliance and statutory requirements are met
- Work closely with Risk & Compliance and operational leaders
- Manage facilities projects, capital works and improvement initiatives
- Monitor costs, budgets and contractor performance
- Maintain strong asset presentation and operational readiness
About You. You will bring:- Experience in facilities, maintenance, property or precinct management
- Experience leading maintenance, grounds, trades or operational teams
- Strong contractor, compliance and preventative maintenance knowledge
- A practical, hands-on leadership style
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced operational environment
Flexibility RequiredSouthport Sharks operates across a 7-day period. This role requires flexibility to work in line with business demand, including early starts, evenings, weekends, public holidays, event periods or urgent maintenance requirements when needed. What we are looking for: - Trade qualification
- First Aid and CPR
- Experience in clubs, hospitality, hotels, health clubs or multi-use precincts
- Experience with MaintainX, BMS, Uptick Fire or similar systems
