About the Role …

We are seeking an experienced Commis Chef to work on a Full Time basis within a tight knit team you'll be working alongside chefs with years of knowledge to further develop your skillset.

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: 

• Qualified with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery
• Food Safety Hygiene qualification
  

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Working in a busy venue with a highly skilled team
• Keeping a sharp attention to detail
• Ensure that food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes and standards.
• Utilise your creative expertise in cookery to produce high quality meals for customers.
• Assist in the trianing of other chefs/apprentices/trainees to encourage excellent quality and production of menu items.
• Monitor food quality and ensure policies and hygiene standards are maintained, reporting any deviations to the Head Chef
• Promote safe work practices in the kitchen
• Liaise with Sous Chef, Chef D'Partie, Head Chef regarding workflow requirements.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Experience in a multi-faceted kitchen
• Familiarity with the Food Safety Act
• Time Management skills is a must
• Ability to work well under pressure
