About the Role
As a Kitchen Steward, you'll play an essential role in supporting our chefs and kitchen team by ensuring equipment, utensils and work areas are maintained to the highest standard.

This is a hands on role that requires plenty of lifting, manual handling and working in a busy commercial kitchen where space is limited and safety is critical.

What You'll Be Doing

• Washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Assisting with waste removal and stock movement.
• Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Using cleaning chemicals in accordance with food safety and workplace procedures.
• Supporting the kitchen team to ensure service runs smoothly.
• Following food safety, WHS and hygiene standards at all times.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen or stewarding role is essential.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting and manual handling.
• Comfortable working in hot, fast paced kitchens and confined workspaces.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning procedures.
• A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
