Southport Sharks is looking for a qualified tradesperson to join our Maintenance Team and help keep our diverse facilities operating safely and smoothly.  You will be available to work a Tuesday - Saturday roster.  

We welcome applications from plumbers, carpenters, electricians or people from any recognised trade background who are also comfortable completing general maintenance and handy person tasks.

This role will complement our existing specialist contractors, not replace them. You will assist with everyday repairs, preventative maintenance and minor improvement projects across the Club, Mantra at Sharks, Health Club and surrounding facilities.

What you will be doing

• Completing general repairs and maintenance tasks
• Supporting and carrying out preventative maintenance programs
• Undertaking minor works within your trade qualifications and experience
• Coordinating with team members and external contractors
• Responding to maintenance requests across a busy, diverse venue
• Keeping work areas, tools and maintenance records organised

• A recognised trade qualification in any relevant field
• Broad practical maintenance and problem solving skills
• Willingness to complete general handy person tasks outside your core trade
• A strong commitment to safety and quality
• Reliable, approachable and able to work independently
• Good communication and time management skills
• Availability to work flexibly when operational needs require it

The position will be classified at Club Award Level 4, with applicable penalty rates and employment benefits.
